codeguppy.com strives to teach kids, teens and adults computer coding using an online coding environment. We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment that family members can enjoy.

codeguppy.com is designed for users 13+ (13 years or older) that have their own email address. Only users with a valid email address can create accounts on codeguppy.com. Our system will prevent users without a confirmed email address from storing data (e.g. projects / programs) on codeguppy.com. Users can store data only after they confirmed the email address by clicking on the link that is sent to them via the provided email address.

If you do create an account, we collect the following information: email address and usage data (e.g. code projects / programs). Upon registration, we ask subscribers to provide their email address to act as authentication method to codeguppy.com service and receive communication. We also store all code projects / programs (e.g. usage data) that users create through the codeguppy.com features.

codeguppy.com offers an experimental feature enabling users to create an account by using a class code rather than an email address. A class code can be obtained by a teacher or coding club educator by contacting us.

We do not ask or collect information that directly identifies a person (such as real name, age, gender, address, phone number). We are not collecting pictures. Our environment doesn't allow uploading photos.

We use Cookies in order to enhance the user experience such as remembering the choices you make when using the website (e.g. remembering your login details) as well as to analyze traffic to the website and how users use the website. The traffic and usage data is collected using Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Users are free to create their own coding projects / programs. These programs are private within each account. codeguppy.com is not offering any discussion boards, forums or social media like sharing features. There are no built-in mechanisms that allows users to discover, view or comment other users programs or interact with other users. codeguppy.com only provides unique Urls for programs that can be shared by users via email or other methods outside of codeguppy.com system.

User data is stored on the Firebase platform from Google. codeguppy.com is relying on the security features offered by Firebase such as data encryption in transit and at rest. codeguppy.com team reserves the right to audit and inspect user accounts and stored programs and contact users about their content. We also reserve the right to close user accounts without any notification if these accounts are found in violation of Terms of Use.

We may send out occasional email updates about codeguppy.com service to the provided email address.

We will not sell or share your email address or programs with external parties unless it is a lawful request or the entire codeguppy.com website is sold or transferred as part of a business transaction such as an acquisition.

We are not engaging with any third-party ad network, and we do not display any advertisements on codeguppy.com that collect information about our site users. We may however display messages, images and links from our sponsors.

You have the right to terminate your account and have your email address removed from our database at any time by contacting us. Please extract from codeguppy.com all programs that you want to keep before initiating the account close request.
