CodeGuppy (codeguppy.com) is owned and operated by Inventika LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Inventika LLC", "we", "us"). Inventika LLC is responsible for the information collected through codeguppy.com as described in this Privacy Policy. Effective October 16, 2026, Inventika LLC operates CodeGuppy, and existing codeguppy.com accounts and the programs stored in them are maintained by Inventika LLC under this Privacy Policy.

codeguppy.com strives to teach kids, teens and adults computer coding using an online coding environment. We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment that family members can enjoy.

codeguppy.com is designed for users 13+ (13 years or older). Our system will prevent users who register with an email address from storing data (e.g. projects / programs) on codeguppy.com until the email address is confirmed. Users can store data only after they confirmed the email address by clicking on the link that is sent to them via the provided email address.

If you create an account with an email address, we collect the following information: email address and usage data (e.g. code projects / programs). Upon registration, we ask subscribers to provide their email address to act as authentication method to codeguppy.com service and receive communication. We also store all code projects / programs (e.g. usage data) that users create through the codeguppy.com features. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are not visible to us.

codeguppy.com offers an experimental feature enabling users to create an account by using a class code rather than an email address. A class code can be obtained by a teacher or coding club educator by contacting us. For these accounts we collect the username chosen at registration, the class code used to register and the code projects / programs created in the account. We recommend that students do not use their real name as their username. The minimum age described in our Terms of Use also applies to accounts created with a class code.

Other than the email address or username described above, we do not ask for information that directly identifies a person (such as real name, age, gender, address, phone number). We are not collecting pictures. Our environment doesn't allow uploading photos.

codeguppy.com does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. To keep you signed in, Firebase Authentication stores your sign-in session in your browser's local storage. You can remove it at any time by signing out or clearing your browser data.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website traffic and improve CodeGuppy. It does not use cookies or track individual visitors across websites. We do not use analytics for advertising or user profiling.

Some pages of codeguppy.com load content from third-party services, such as fonts from Google Fonts, JavaScript libraries from cdnjs and embedded videos from YouTube. When such a page is loaded, your browser connects to these services, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type and process it under their own privacy policies. YouTube videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not store YouTube cookies before you play a video; once you play a video, YouTube's privacy policy applies.

Users are free to create their own coding projects / programs. These programs are private within each account and are not listed or searchable on codeguppy.com. codeguppy.com is not offering any discussion boards, forums or social media like sharing features. There are no built-in mechanisms that allows users to discover, view or comment other users programs or interact with other users. codeguppy.com only provides unique Urls for programs that can be shared by users via email or other methods outside of codeguppy.com system. Anyone who has the Url of a program can open that program, so please share Urls only with people you trust and do not include personal information in your programs.

User data is stored on the Firebase platform from Google. We are relying on the security features offered by Firebase such as data encryption in transit and at rest. Inventika LLC reserves the right to audit and inspect user accounts and stored programs and contact users about their content. We also reserve the right to close user accounts without any notification if these accounts are found in violation of Terms of Use.

We may send out occasional email updates about codeguppy.com service to the provided email address.

Paid digital products offered on codeguppy.com (such as the Illustrated JavaScript Coding Course) are sold by Inventika LLC through Gumroad, which provides the checkout and payment processing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Gumroad shares with us information needed to deliver and support your order, such as your email address and the products purchased. Gumroad's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase. The printed edition of the course is sold through Lulu under Lulu's own terms and privacy policy.

We will not sell or share your email address or programs with external parties except with the service providers described in this Privacy Policy that help us operate codeguppy.com, when required by a lawful request, or if CodeGuppy is sold or transferred as part of a business transaction such as a merger or an acquisition.

We are not engaging with any third-party ad network, and we do not display any advertisements on codeguppy.com that collect information about our site users. We may however display messages, images and links from our sponsors.

We keep your account and programs until you delete them or ask us to close your account. You can delete individual programs at any time from the codeguppy.com editor. You have the right to terminate your account and have your email address removed from our database at any time by contacting us. Please extract from codeguppy.com all programs that you want to keep before initiating the account close request. Deleted data may remain in our periodic database backups for a limited period before it is permanently removed.

codeguppy.com accounts are intended for users 13 years or older. If you are a parent or teacher and believe that a child under 13 has created a codeguppy.com account, please contact us and we will close the account and delete the information associated with it.

We may also change or update our Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
